Dmitry Kiselev: “Tatarstan becomes the leader in Russia’s offshore amnesty”

10 December 2014, Wednesday

The well-known TV host and chief of Russia’s largest news agency said Rustam Minnikhanov had expressed willingness to meet with people willing to return their capitals to Russia in person.

“After Putin’s speech, the trend became clear but it was unclear whom to call, the tax inspectorate, security service, border patrol service or customs. Now it is clear that one should call Tatarstan President directly, as he is prepared to meet and facilitate investment in projects run in Tatarstan, and to the 13-percent income tax being paid to the Tatarstan budget. It is very pleasing. What he effectively said was that the quickest one gets it all,” Dmitry Kiselev explained.

Tatarstan President had made a proposal that converted President of Russia’s idea into practice, he added.

“It is very important. Even the Russian government that was instructed by Russia president on deoffshorisation has so far not done that. Tatarstan turns out to be the leader,” the TV host shared.
