Digital television broadcasting network was discussed in Kazan

Meeting of heads of branches of the Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Network (RTRS) Volga and Urals federal districts was held today in Kazan. Participants discussed the development of digital television broadcasting network in Russia.
The first multiplex broadcasting (digital package mandatory and public television and radio channels) was started in 2010 from the Far East. Building a network of first and second multiplexes scheduled to be completed by the end of 2015.
B.Terebilenko responded that by the federal target program for the development of broadcasting in Russia to 2015, population coverage of digital broadcasting should be more than 95 percent. Currently, the result of the work is almost 80 percent of Russian citizens have the opportunity to view the first multiplex channels. The process of creating a second multiplex continues.
